With the IAS (Interface Adapter System) solution from COT, you have the option of providing printers from the COT portfolio with a standardized interface, which can be integrated into the company infrastructure via serial, Ethernet or WLAN, depending on the series. Standard protocols on the serial and network interface are supported.

Configuration of the IAS
The configuration of the IAS and the printer is stored in an external configuration memory. In the event of a printer failure on the production line, it is therefore possible to use a reserve printer with the same settings (IP address, certificates, the same MAC address if required, etc.) in a short time and without administrative effort.
Other functionalities that have proven useful in the past are static and dynamic character replacement, the ability to record print data directly in the interface (error analysis of forms) and to load configurations or data into the printer when the printer is started. In the production environment, it can also be useful if the control panel function is switched off during normal operation (in the event of an error, operation is automatically possible again), or if a log is used to ensure that the form to be printed is only confirmed by the printer once it has actually been printed.
Connecting printers to SAP Printers from the COT portfolio that are not supported by SAP can be connected to SAP via the IAS.
