The Zebra MT2000 series represents another industry innovation from Zebra. Combining the simplicity of a scanner with the computing power of a mobile computer with an extremely ergonomic pistol grip.
The mobile computer is designed to improve productivity, efficiency and uptime in warehousing and manufacturing, and to realise retail and trade inventory with the same device. The high-performance Zebra MT2000 series with the Zebra MT2070 combines the simplicity of a barcode scanner and the performance of an MDE with comprehensive WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity.
Different versions are available with a laser scanner for 1D codes (reading range up to 127 cm) or with an imager for 1D and 2D barcodes (optional HD), as well as for capturing images, signatures and videos. A high-performance microprocessor sets a new standard here and increases the performance and speed of omnidirectional data capture. In addition to the Intel XScale processor with 312 MHz, Windows CE5.0 and 64 MB RAM guarantee a wide range of applications and particular flexibility. Additional data, which is displayed on the 320 x 240 pixel LC display of the Zebra MT2070, is entered by the user via the 21-button keypad.The data can be transmitted wirelessly via WLAN (802.11a/b/g) or Bluetooth with a range of over 90 metres. Using a terminal session is also the optimal way to communicate. For a wired connection, the Zebra MT2070 offers a variant with a USB/RS-232 multi-interface. BT cradles can be used directly via USB, serial or Ethernet, while chargers and various accessories such as the Intellistand for hands-free scanning guarantee the necessary flexibility at all times.
